Many women dream of being pregnant, or experience a dream in which they meet their babies-to-be, either before or during pregnancy. Sometimes they are able to accurately determine the appearance, gender, personality and/or health concerns of their baby to be from these dreams. Other times they are simply provided with the information that they are pregnant, or that they will be soon.
Mothers and fathers-to-be are also often given a name for their new child. Although of course there are exceptions, most parents who are given a baby's name feel strongly enough about the validity of their dream or intuitive experience that they do go ahead and name their baby the name that's been given them.
Some parents dream of complications within their pregnancies. These dreams can serve to prepare the parents-to-be for the complication, or even provide them with hints on what to do to avoid the complications.

Shame that you are only focusing on women's dreams when as a father, I foresaw the gender of my two children, a week and half before my wife knew she was pregnant. I have a girl now, aged 2, which I saw at the age of 20 with a dimple, which my wife and I don't have. My wife was then 3 months pregnant. My wife is pregnant again and I told she was pregnant a week before she knew again and I saw a boy with darker hair and smaller than our girl at birth. Healthy otherwise and the scan my wife just had also showed it was a boy.

DeleteWell, I am not a mother, nor am i a mother to be. (Any time soon.) But i have had reoccurring dreams of my children to be. One's name is Tyler, and he looks just like his father. The other's name is Jason, and he looks more like me. Tyler is older by about 3 years. Tyler has curly brown hair, with golden brown eyes, like mine, and Jason has straight brown hair, and brown hazel eyes, like his father. They have been coming to me in my dreams, and telling me that they want to talk to their daddy, and that they want to say that they love their daddy. And they have also went to their father, in his dreams, and talked to him, about my pregnancies with them. But just recently they have been more brave and coming to talk to me, when i am listening to a song that is heartfelt, or is about relationships between a mother/father and their daughter/son. Which frightens me, as i am only 16. Could that mean that they will be here sooner than expected?
ReplyDeleteHey. I am in a similar boat with you. This boy has been in about three dreams I have had with him just standing in the background. The dreams with him have been the same. They have seemed so real and I almost didn't realize I was dreaming. He always appeared to be about three with no name. He looked just like me. Then, two nights ago, I had a dream that was snap shots of me and him from the time I gave birth to him until he turned three. I felt such a strong connection to the small boy that I woke up completely calm but feeling a piece of me was missing. I am only 17 but I appeared to be about 22 in the dream so I can only hope he comes when the time is right. I think your boys are trying to let you know that they are there and are ready when you are. I hope my story helped. :)

In my dream she was about a yr old.......my husband and I walking on a pier ,she got away from my hand ,she was running she turned back and she smiled and kept on running. A few days later she was gone. So ever since then I think about her daily. I often think of my dream.what does this mean , anybody have any answers please help me with my empty thoughts. Thank You
ReplyDeleteIn my opnion. The Lord allowed you to see your unborn child and to assure you she was going to be ok. She's with him waiting until you and your husband are reunited. My opnion only. I'm a Christian and believe he has his hands on all things good. I pray for you and your family for peace .
DeleteI have dreams about a baby girl idk if I'm having one I won't find out til next week in my anatomy scan .in the dreams is a little girl who happens be porselin white with hazel eyes she looks nothing like me but she is beautiful and seems very healthy I wonder what my dream could mean idk I do want a little girl I already have her named picked out . well see what happens next week !
ReplyDeleteI had a pregnancy of identical twin girls and lost them to still birth, two weeks before I lost them I had a dream I gave birth to them while going to the toilet and lost them cause I couldn't get the amnionic sac off them so they could breathe.

ReplyDeleteWhen my husband and I were struggling and almost lost our home due to my high riskish pregnancy and me taking off so much work, I worried eveyday beause everyone kept telling me I was going to miscarry. So naturally I had bad nightmares and the first good dream I had was of me and my husband visiting our son and his family. In my dream he looked almost exactly like his dad and he was married to my friends daughter (at the time my friend didnt know her babys gender) and those two were born looking exactly like how they were in my dreams.............Now moving on my husband are still struggling and are trying to get back on our own again, Things are going well and I am at a job that would be better for me to be pregnant at. So for a short time we were trying for a baby but surprise stress from my last job and possibly my old depo birth control caused an ovarian cyst and what I thought was conceiving was it rupturing. And the home we were going to get we have lost due to the owner going bankrupt, so the nightmares begin again. But then I dreamt I saw our daughter. She was so sweet, her hair was dark like mine (hubby is blonde) and insanely blue eyes like her older brother (both my husband and my eyes are hazel but we carry the blue eyed gene) She was very kind and gentle spirited, judt being around her would make you smile. I dreamt of giving birth to her, holding her and watched her grow a lil. I woke up to my 2 year old needing mommy after that but I would love to meet that little girl

ReplyDeleteWell....for starters me and the father of my(our) unborn started off Rocky...He didn't want a child at all and I Just Dont do Abortions....he lead me to believe he wasn't gonna be there and that I was gonna be all Alone Raising our little one....than one night I get this prophetic Dream....we we're Both standing on a porch...our unborn (son) looked about 4....the Dad was soooo happy as if our son was his Joy....it was Amazing... This was before I even knew I was having a baby boy....Dad wanted a girl....but I just knew it was a boy....prior to that I had already had 2 Dreams that he was in fact a boy...Daddy said he Doubt it...I been having prophetic Dreams since a little girl...this is why I knew for a fact he was a boy....long story short me and the father finally comprised....he assured me that he will be there for our son and my other kids and he'd never leave his son....I believe he was just was scared since this is his first child and all...we talk Everyday and haven't been in a argument or misunderstanding since....guess my Dream was correct as they always are....I was Relived and he accepted that it was a boy as well

My Dreams always telling me about my pregnancy good or Bad...I think I seen my son big smile and gums last night in a Dream...he's due near Christmas... I'm Definitely waiting on him so lately I've been getting dreams of him...maybe these 3 in a Row dreams a sign that he's on his way....we are so excited....

I just had a dream about my unborn son, he was kindof like older and he talk and responded to me more than my 2year old did. His name already picked out and he does have heart condition, but I believe he overcome that, his name will be trevor scott, this is first dream i had of him, this weds I will be 34 weeks pregnant and im just so close to havin him and i feel like there was a date in the dream if i can picture it now it said March 7th 2017, my due is March 23. So i hope he doesnt come that soon lol i aint ready... but supposely he is a miracle child and he also has a power i didnt tell anyone and he looked older and maturer.... i didnt even get what that means... i was confused wakin up seeing this but happy that i saw him after all the forgetful dreams i have been losing this dream was a real reminder of my baby boy and he has been low so he may come early like few strangers been tellin me.... i hope not.... im not ready lol
ReplyDeleteI just had a dream of my unborn baby, this is my second dream I’ve had of him so far. My first dream felt so real I looked down to my stomach and I could see my unborn son through my stomach. He looked just like my husband and myself mixed in one from the hair to the eyes everything felt so real. My second dream I had was last night, I was standing talking to someone and just then I seen my son moving but I seen his entire shape of his body coming out of my stomach and then again I seen my unborn. These dreams are amazing I can’t believe I’ve been having them and been able to see him. I wonder if he will come looking the way I pictured in my dreams.
ReplyDeleteI agree. My mom was pregnant with me and my identical twin sister and my father had a dream about twin aliens flying on "rocket cycles" as he describes them. The aliens flew around earth looking for parents. And they found my parents and said "we just need a home...the first one born is lucy and the second one is Katie". My father woke up and said "it's lucy and Katy" and that was that.
ReplyDeleteSo first a few weeks ago I had a dream about my babies name. I am not to my knowledge currently pregnant. And have not missed a period. But my next one is due in a few days. But my spouse and I have decided we want our first son to be named Paul months ago. And I saw it in a dream. His first and middle name. Paul Andrew. The weird part about the dream is my eyes were closed, but I was awake. I never actually fell asleep. I just felt this shock and then saw the name. And I felt inside me. That feeling of being a family. That was three weeks ago. Tonight I had that same shock again. But this time I heard the name. But in my own voice. I was scolding a child for doing something naughty. He was perfect. The most beautiful little baby. He had light ash blond hair and the most perfect brown eyes. And it was then I knew he was mine. Now i might not be pregnant right now. Although i could be possible i suppose. But I know in the deepest parts of my soul that he is my baby and someday when the time is right I will meet him in real life.
ReplyDeleteRight so I'm a teenage girl 15 y.o. and I had a dream of my unborn daughter as a teenager sat on a bed next to me, we were having a chat. She looked exactly like me but with much darker hair and resembled me in nearly every way. Now I know for definite I'm not pregnant because I have never.. but I find it so weird how I know loads about her like what her name is, what she looks like, her personality (basically a clone of me but darker hair and obviously younger). I was about 50 in the dream but had some sort of anti aging cream as I looked sooo young lol xD
ReplyDeleteI had a dream, I woke up forgetting I've given birth until I felt my stomach, I began looking for my child only to see mt grand mother who's deceased just finished bottle feeding the baby, she had him in her lap and trying to rock this child to sleep.i then took the baby from her and began breast feeding him and that when I noticed I had a baby boy when his blanket feel off.he looked everything like his dad,as I continued feeding him, my gf decided that she wanted to take a pic of him to s3nd foe his father who was at work and had no idea I'd given birth, but not for hell this child would stay still for the pic, and that's when I woke up
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been trying to conceive for a couple months now. When we first got married last year, we both kept dreaming of a little girl. From the way he described her, she seemed almost exactly like the little one I saw too. We both agree she looks like me.

Two nights ago, I had a dream that I had given birth in a very peaceful way. In the dream, a prescence handed me the baby boy and said we should name him Andrew.
My husband and I had been playing around with “A” boy names. I will be testing this weekend to find out if we conceived or not this cycle. I know we’ll have our baby in our arms this year.
